Default Once you become an Ascensionite!

Once you have been tagged with the Ascension name, an Initiate period begins.

Rank and Voting Procedure

For two to three weeks, you will have the rank of a Peon. This is an "initiate" rank and should never last more than three weeks (with rare exceptions). After that, there will be a vote held by the members of the guild. Once this vote has been completed (may take a couple days from posting), you will be granted a full membership either as a Nobleman or Man-At-Arms. From the point your initial rank is established, your rank will not remain static, but rather will be ever changing based on your commitment, performance, attitude and contribution. Nobleman is a "social" rank. Depending on circumstances, you may see raid time, but generally only as needed by the guild. Man-At-Arms is a raiding rank. As a MaA, you will get regular raiding time (provided you sign up!) but may be subject to occasional rotation, depending on guild raid requirements. Again, your rank is not set in stone... you can advance by demonstrating commitment, ability and a positive attitude. After some time (generally at LEAST a month) as Man-At-Arms, you MAY be advanced to KNIGHT. A KNIGHT is the highest non-officer raiding rank in the guild. Gaining the rank of KNIGHT is granted by class/raid leadership to recognize those who have demonstrated superior commitment to the raiding efforts of the guild.

Raids

If you have applied to Ascension as a class that currently has an opening in the raid, you will be able to raid as a Peon. Please note that during this time, your responsibility will be to the raid and you will be held to the same standards as full guild members. It is expected that ALL initiates and members of any rank who expect to raid utilize the Calendar to indicate their availability to raid. The Calendar has options for Yes, Yes Late, Maybe (with note), and No responses. Raid/Class leaders should never be in the position of wondering whether you intend to raid on a raid night. Do NOT fail the calendar boss! Pure social members with no raiding aspirations do not need to utilize the calendar as their status is understood.

Any questions regarding raiding and your role/expectations should be directed to your class leader: Tanks: BON, Melee: ONSLAUGHT, Ranged DPS: VARASZLAT (V), Healers: LOVEDOLL (Rustee)

Loot

Unless otherwise decided by Loot Council, you will usually not be receiving loot while holding the rank of Peon. Once you become a full member, all full member rules will apply to you, including loot rules. Of course, we will give an item that otherwise would be sharded to an Initiate, but you are generally at the bottom of the list!

Alts

While we do not have a problem with alts being brought into the guild, we would ask that you do not request an invite for your alts until you become a full member. Once you have been established as a full member, we can accept alts, but please be reasonable. Please choose only characters that you actively play.

Forums

As a Peon, your forum access will be limited to Public Forums and Noobscension. Noobscension is a private forum where new members can discuss matters within the guild that they do not perhaps wish to be available publicly. You will still have access to Raid Schedule and Strategies and will be expected to log onto the forums and sign up for raids, check raid schedule and follow events within the guild.

Once you are granted full access, it is expected that you introduce yourself to us as a community in the Guild Information Forums. You can divulge as much or as little information as you want, but tell us something that makes you unique and separates you out from “just another WOW player”. We are friends and would like to get to know you. Also, Ascension is a community, not just a guild, so there may be some people that are not playing Warcraft who would like to know who you are.

Any questions, please contact Cooder or Antaya in game, vent or by PM.

Thank you
